A meditation technique for concentration

Learn Hong-Sau meditation in Berlin or online.

Hong-Sau is a concentration and meditation technique that uses awareness of the natural breath. Sheetal teaches it as a patient, practical way to develop calm, focus and a sustainable meditation practice.

What the practice involves

You sit comfortably, become aware of the breath and use the technique to steady attention. There is no need to force the breath or struggle against thoughts.

When attention wanders, the practice is simply to notice and return. This repeated return gradually develops concentration and inner quiet.

How yoga prepares you for meditation

Gentle yoga, breathwork and relaxation can reduce physical restlessness before sitting. This is why meditation follows the yoga practice in Sheetal’s group classes.

The two practices remain distinct but connected: yoga prepares the body and energy, while meditation carries awareness inward.
